Lester to speak at LHS

William A. Lester Jr., College of Chemistry emeritus professor and a professor of the graduate school, will be a featured guest at the Lawrence Hall of Science on Wednesday, October 13 at 6:30 p.m.

Lester will speak at the Bay Area launch of the ScienceMakers education initiative. This initiative is focused on capturing and preserving the stories of African Americans in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) professions.

Also speaking will be Professor Emeritus Robert Bragg of Berkeley’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering.
